Homes within about 400 metres of a station tend to hold demand better, because the daily trip is short enough that most buyers will walk.
Measure it properly
Walk the route yourself rather than trusting a straight-line distance. Sheltered paths, one-way detours and a busy crossing can turn a short distance into a long walk.
